“This announcement is one of many of the must-see acts we’ll have as we continue to add a variety and diversity of shows to Chase Center’s calendar.” “Bringing together Metallica and San Francisco Symphony 20 years later for our first event at Chase Center is going to be an incredible and unique performance for the Bay Area,” said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. Fans will be able to purchase tickets at Ticketmaster. Tickets will be made available to the general public on Friday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. and for Warriors Season Ticket Priority Wait List members on Thursday, March 21 at 9:00 a.m. Additional presale events will be held for Chase Center Membership members on Wednesday, March 20 at 12:00 p.m. exclusively for Metallica Fan Club members, with an additional presale event at 12:00 p.m.

The first presale event begins on Tuesday, March 19 at 9:00 a.m. Metallica briefly posted about the event on their Facebook page, but took it down shortly thereafter. No word on if the event will be recorded yet or not. The coming show will be conducted by Edwin Outwater. The original show was conducted by Michael Kamen, who passed away in 2003.

The show will celebrate the original album, plus presumably throw in some of the music they've written and recorded over the last 20 years. According to KQED, Metallica will be the first show at San Francisco's new Chase Center this September 6.
